Description of 1940 Austin Bantam Super 4 Convertible Sedan

Bought by my Father in 1955 for my Mother. Last registered in 1958. Never been titled. Numbers matching per production sheet. Engine apart and needs complete rebuild. however it is all there and original. Missing radiator and one piece of door trim. On Dec-07-14 at 12:51:23 PST. seller added the following information:Due to much confusion. let me state this is a restoration project not a running driving car. The vehicle is sold with a Bill of Sale ONLY-there were no titles issued in 1940 or 1955 when this vehicle was purchased. I have started the restoration. on the frame and body. No work has been done on the body(presently primered) or interior. This would be your job should you chose to buy it (the car). I have had the bumpers. gearshift lever. hand brake. hood ornament and hubcaps(5) all rechromed. The engine is complete but disassembled and needs to be completely rebuilt-I do not have a rebuilding kit-YOU must source the parts. The frame has been stripped and was coated with POR-15 and reassembled with freshly powder coated wheels and new tires(5) The rear axle and steering box have been rebuild and the transmission has been gone thru and is fine. I have some gaskets and some minor parts that have been sourced for the engine along with new clutch and pressure plate springs that go with the car. I am not selling parts off of it. Everything I have goes with the car in the auction. This is being sold AS-IS Where IS and must be picked up within seven days of the end of the auction. You must arrange the pick up and shipping.
