1965 Austin Healey BJ8 Roadster Description 1965 Austin Healey BJ8 (3000) MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest British classic, gorgeous nut and bolt restored 1965 Austin Healey BJ8. Commonly referred to as the "Big Healey" the 3000 MK III was the company's greatest success, ue to its performance, andling, nd luxurious interior. With the MK III being last of the Austin Healey breed it became the most powerful and luxurious of all the Healey's, hus cars are the most sought after Healey's. Production of the MK III is divided into two Phases of production, ith Phase II starting in May of 1964. The most significant change between the Phases' was a modified rear chassis to improve ground clearance by almost an inch. This wonderfully restored BJ8 is painted in Carman Red; the paint is in great condition imperfections are far-and-few between. The owner and restorer spent countless hours and dollars fully restoring the car, ocumenting the entire process with photos and receipts. The car was purchased in 1999 out of long term storage. We have photos of the car from the day it was purchased. It was restored from 2000 to 2002 and has traveled 11,365 miles since the completion; the odometer was reset to zero at the time of the completion. In fact the gentleman kept all receipts and paperwork for every part. New to the car, ut not limited to work: new wiring harness, ew rocker panels, artial tow boxes, hot face, og legs, ew brake lines, heel cylinders, ew power booster, ew top and boot, riginal tonneau cover. New upgraded Pertronix ignition, achometer converted to Pertronix ignition system, ew base-coat clear paint by Tom Roy. The engine has been rebuilt from the crank up and many parts have been upgraded too. Every aspect of this Austin has been touched, hether it needed to restored or replaced the restoration process was completed properly.
