For Sale: 1978 Austin Mini Lakeland Coupe with original 23,585 miles, he last 1500 mile of which have been put on by the current owner (person who is selling the car) in the last 15 years of ownership. Car was imported to the USA in April of 2006 and has resided in covered secured storage here in Central Illinois since. It's a car you don't often see in the States - right hand drive, nd is being sold as shown and as described with no known mechanical issues. Car has a clear Illinois title and it is being sold for a fair price with no reserve!*****

BODY: Car is white as shown, as original plates on it from England, late OJY750S and this permanent plate number is also etched on the glass of the car as shown in photos. Body and paint are original and is in great shape except for the bottoms of both doors and along the seams in some parts on each side between the doors and the fenders/tops of fender (see pics). Front bottom of fenders needs some light attention as to paint, ut again, inor. No structural issues at all, ut these areas could be redone if desired, robably a door skin or partial panel would be best for the door part - minor repairs, ut owner is moving on during his retirement years. Underside is in great shape with a solid floor pan, olid cowl, nd a good trunk as shown. Really besides the repair where it is bubbling as shown, he car really only needs a good buffing to make it like new. Under-hood and trunk are both clean and solid as shown.*****

MECHANICAL: Car runs and drives fine and shifts fine with the automatic transmission. When it was imported, ar was taken to a foreign car specialist in Orland Park, L (near Chicago, L) and gone over. Only repairs made at the time of import where a few parts in the steering/steering column to bring it up to spec., therwise all was fine with the car. Since it was imported in 2006, ar has received whatever it needed in maintenance and recently it was taken out of storage and checked over, inor tune up type repairs done along with a new battery. Car recently had a new radiator installed as shown. Car has the 998 cc 4 cylinder original motor with auto trans - runs strong. Prior to be imported by the current owner, ar was with a lady in Tavistock, evon since new and she also had it serviced at the original selling dealer: Central Garage Torbay, rixham, evon. With the cars as the original registration, ervice manual with stickers, nd a later service guide purchased in the US. INTERIOR: Car has a brown interior, loth, ith some stripes as shown on the seats. Seats tilt with a release knob on the side - it is surprising how much room is in this car for good sized adults! Interior is pretty clean, s original and really only the door panels and dash need a slight detailing to refresh from current storage. No interior issues are needing attention. Dash is simple, nstrument pod in middle as shown, s original miles, uto stick on the floor, nd manual choke on the dash. Trunk is clean as shown, nder-hood is also clean as shown with no issues.*****
