Description of 1954 Austin Somerset Gasser |
Once in a lifetime opportunity! This is the ONLY Austin Somerset Gasser in the world not to mention it is a one off total custom. 4” chopped top, extremely well done and thought out two door conversion (there are no 2 door Somerset sedans). Best of everything no expense spared. Car runs 9.50 at 144 mph all day long and if you wanted to, you could drive it home from the track. It has a lot left in it for someone that really wants to go fast. Currently it is only running 12 pounds of boost and 3.50 rear gear. The build sheet reads like a whos who list of performance parts.

Car is just over a year old with a complete mechanical rebuild 5 months ago. This car is one bad ass machine. It goes straight as a string through the mid nines approaching 150 mph. It is the hardest pulling car I have ever driven in second gear. Just past the 60’ mark the second gear shift pulls the front wheel and then she is a rocket sled through the traps. I cannot point out enough that this is absolutely a one off (one of one) gasser. If you want something different that will stand out anywhere you take it….THIS IS IT! Just Google Austin Somerset Gasser or Dragnasty. The Internet is full of photos and there are nearly 100 videos of this car on Youtube! The car was built from start to finish on the HAMB forum site. Nothing to hide here…It is what it is! One Bad Machine! |
