1990 Austin Rover MG Maestro 1.3 - LOW RESERVE - 5-speed manual - Flame Red

First registered in the Netherlands on June 22, 1990. Imported to the USA 5/8/2015 by current owner. Drove about 10,000 miles with it over the past 3 years, without any trouble (never broke down). Over the past three months, replaced oil and filter, spark plugs and battery.

The Maestro is in mostly original condition (paint, interior, engine, radio-cassette), very clean interior including trunk. Some beginning rust around the wheel wells but can be easily treated. This car has a 5-speed manual gearbox from an MG Maestro (replaces the original 4-speed from the base model). Other MG accents: badges, hubs, steering wheel, engine cover. 1275 cc A-series engine.

Drives and shifts very smoothly. Includes rear window wash/wipe, fog lights, heated rear window. Everything works perfectly except for temperature gauge. No A/C. Manual windows, mirrors, choke.

The Austin Maestro was sold from 1983 to 1995, primarily in the UK, with a total number of over 600,000 cars produced. A very popular mid-size family car in the mid- to late Eighties. Only a few thousand are left now, mostly in the UK, and mostly in poor condition. This is an exceptionally nice, mostly original, left-hand drive model that is in perfect running condition and has no major rust issues. Currently registered as an Antique Vehicle in PA. Original Dutch registration papers, number plates and owner's manual included, plus two keys. Can be driven anywhere.
