1967 Austin London Taxi 2.0 Diesel. It is a well used car. I have owned it for a few years but keeps ending up on the back burner.. We drive it around the neighborhood, but the tires are not save for road use. Air holds great but dryrotted enough that I'm not . The usual British rust in certain spots of the floorboard and I am sure bondo too. Starts and runs but smokes a lot on startup and continues at a lesser rate. When I bought the car it had a spun bearing, so that was replaced. I was surprised to find the Crank a stock diameter, so either a repalcement engine or a very gentle 500,000 miles. I assume the miles are correct because there was a note posted in the back by the seats where licencing goes for cab drivers that said the car came over on TWA in 1977 and had 500,000 miles on it. When I was in the bottom of the engine, everything else was tight and even the pistons did not wiggle. I wanted to do a compression check but wa unable to find a tester that worked. You are welcome to bring one.Brakes are good, starts easy, engine pulls, turns well, electrical mostly works however i was going through all the connections to clean and check resistances and have not got over to the left headlight completely yet. Also the ignition switch needs to be addressed as the wipers come on when the ignition is turned on and the switch is not prung to the run position. Good news! Wipers work!I am available to show or answer questions since I'm not at work too much these days. There is a video available at the usual place for a drive along if you wanna see it. Lemme know any other questions.Cheers!
