The Interceptor name had been used previously by Jensen for the Jensen Interceptor made between 1950 and 1957 at the Carters Green factory. Jensen had extensively used glass-reinforced plastic for the fabrication of body panels in the preceding two decades, but the new Interceptor saw a return to a steel body-shell. The body was designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than the in-house staff. The early bodies were built in Italy by Vignale, before Jensen took production in house, making some subtle body modifications. 1972 JENSEN INTERCEPTOR THE INTERCEPTOR WAS STYLED BY CARROZERIA TOURING, AND FEATURED A WRAP-AROUND REAR WINDOW SERVING AS A HATCH OVER THE CARGO AREA APPOINTMENTS INCLUDE POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, AIR CONDITIONING, AND A LATER SONY CASSETTE RADIO THE CABIN IS TRIMMED IN TAN LEATHER WITH A BLACK DASH AND A BURL WOOD CENTER CONSOLE PANEL JEAGER INSTRUMENTATION AHEAD OF THE DRIVER INCLUDES A 160-MPH SPEEDOMETER AND A TACHOMETER, THE OIL PRESSURE, FUEL LEVEL, AND VOLTAGE ARE LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE DASH STOCK 15 ALLOY WHEELS WITH BRIDGESTONE POTENZA TIRES, AND A SPARE IS MOUNTED ON THE UNDERSIDE THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS GREAT CLASSIC!
