For sale 1953 Bentley r-type saloon right-hand drive in good mechanical condition has had over $8,000 worth of mechanical work less than 100 miles ago. Great collectors car completely original nothing missing and everything works. Previous owner took excellent condition of it, have had it for 5 years and have only driven it about 50 miles. It is a great smooth driver shift great suspension is in good condition as well rides like a dream. Came from Beverly Hills, ave all the paperwork going back 30 plus years as well as all original paperwork that came with the car. This R-Type has no mechanical issues and starts up everytime. This has been a very reliable vehicle for shows as it has always started up and never given me any issues. Has good tires with white walls original Bentley wheels in good condition not peeling or scratched. This Bentley would make a great collector vehicle with a fresh paint job and re dipping of trim. Otherwise it is in great condition and is a solid vehicle in great mechanical condition. The paint is silver and black 2 tone original as a almost 50 years paint job so it is faded and will need to be repainted. Only a few rust spots that have developed sense coming out of the dry climate of California to the humid climate of Tennessee. It is all just flash rust except for a few spots on the door sills that have rusted through. Interior is in good condition the wood is good but if trying to make it perfect most likely you would want to re-clear to make it glossy again. The seats are all original Bentley handcrafted leather in good condition the back seats are immaculate the front seat has some cracks in them but the most likely be repaired. The interior overall is in good condition and would not need much when restoring the vehicle is it just needs a refresh. The great thing is nothing has been touched on it so everything is original from Bentley all parts that have been replaced on it or Bentley and is a matching number of car .Overall it's a really great vehicle at a fraction of what one normally would go for. Only 2000 of these were made and are being bought up by collectors because their value continues to increase. This R type is a member of the Bentley club and is documented original.This is a perfect car for a collector as it is original untouched everything works mechanically sound and has tons of documentation.
