Description of 19890000 BMW 3-Series |
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION! I am a BMW enthusiast and I purchased this 1989 325i e30 from a gentleman who had it sitting at his auto detail business. The car was sitting under a tree for about 6 months and needed some TLC. Odometer shows 175,000 but no longer works. Actual mileage is unknown but please note the condition of the car. I wouldn't think it was much more than that. I was the one who reset the trip counter. That being said, have performed a lot of the maintenance but the she could use a little more TLC to make her a great daily driver. Here is a list of what has been done. New oil pan gasket New transmission filter, asket and fluid New flex disk New center support bearing New exhaust doughnut gasket New exhaust collector gaskets New exhaust collector bolts Newer muffler ( performed by previous owner) New intake boot New water pump and gasket Newer timing belt ( inspected when installing water pump) New motor mounts 10 hour paint correction The following is a list of things that need to be addressed Brakes a bit "soft"however after a second depress of the pedal they are much more firm. (air in line?) No radio (wired for a Sony head unit) I cant get back windows to go down The AC fan blower motor only works on high (heat and ac work awesome though) Driver seat belt will not retract (note seat belt trim loose in picture) Needs wiper blades 2 very small cracks in dash (has been stop drilled) The driver under dash plastic is missing On occasion I have had the reverse do something strange. It will engage but is jerky. That being said all forward gears are spot on and have NO issues. Car pulls very strong and all gears shift as they should. Transmission step down works wonderfully. Could use some new shocks There is a very slow leak coming from one of the power steering lines where the hose is clamped to the hard line. It may sound like I am being nit picky but I want the buyer to be aware of everything I know about the car. I don't have the car insured but I have driven it quite a bit around town and through the neighbor hood. The car does not smoke or leak any fluids with the exception of the slow PS leak at the hose end. I would personally let an authorized BMW mechanic go through this car before giving it to my wife or child to use as a daily driver. I have only owned the car long enough to perform the maintenance I have listed and purchased this car with the intention to re sale it. I spent roughly 10 hours on the paint correction alone which consisted of Meguiers Scratch X2 applied with an 8" buffer followed by Meguiers yellow wax. Please note the scratches on the trunk lid and the damage on the front of the hood. The paint looks amazing for its age however there are very small imperfections. The car has a clean title which I am waiting to receive in the mail. Please ask any questions before bidding.
