This is an amazingly kept E30 with a beautiful interior and a decent exterior besides a couple exceptions which shouldn't be terribly expensive to fix. The amount of work already done on this car makes it extremely reliable and worry free to drive. Message me with any questions! The car is located in South Carolina, ut for the right price - a plane ticket home - I don't mind driving it to the highest bidder. It's a vote of confidence - I have no doubt that the car would make it from hear to Seattle. Unlike many ads for sale here, ou know exactly what you're getting as I've included all of the information - good and bad. The bad: (I'm very picky and haven't left anything out)- The odometer went out last week, ears are in the mail and I plan on changing the gears and SI board batteries before this sale. I've been keeping track of the miles via GPS and will put it forward the correct amount so there are no missed miles.
- Being a New England car there is some rust most notably the passenger side wheel well as pictured. When painted it was supposed to be cut out and relaid with fiberglass but the bubbling makes me think that was not done and I got shafted a bit. There's another rust spot under the passenger floorboard which is a good candidate for a cut and weld - see additional pictures. Besides that the body is pretty good because I had them fix every imperfection when I had it painted a few years back. The lip on the back could be removed too - I tried to renew it using Plasti-dip but it started peeling again.
- Someone swiped the drivers side front bumper (WHO PULLS IN TO PARALLEL PARK) I put in a new light but there is a slight skuff, ot sure if it will buff out or not.
- There is a noise when hitting a bump on the right side that I haven't been able to figure out - it's a phantom noise. Even the mechanic I take it to couldn't find it; he said it's one of those things that it'll have to get worse before it will be obvious. I really hate it though - I'm sure BMW will be able to figure it out at their higher price - it's not the suspension or exhaust though. Has to be something silly.
- AC doesn't work. It worked perfectly two years ago but started blowing the AC fuse this past summer.
- The interior is 9/10 but there are a few imperfections - the leather around the shift knob is cut, he door cards are good but there is anunnoticeable half inch slice in the passenger side front door. Besides that, t's very nice.
- Rear defroster doesn't work - needs a new window or repair to the metal paint.
- Missing a couple of the tools in the trunk tool set.
- Rims could be in better shape - I thought about getting new ones when I purchased tires this time around but I decided to put it off for another set.
- Sometimes the check engine light will pop on at a stop light.
- I have a lot of the receipts, ut since I do a lot of the work myself they're pretty unorganized and some have gone missing.
