Description of 1988 BMW M3 M3 |
If you are reading this you are probably knowledgeable about these cars. I have owned this car for almost 20 years, nd it wasmy faithful track day companion on many occasions. If you are familiar with track day events, ou know that cars used must be in excellent mechanical condition. This car is mechanically as close to "bullet proof" as you can get, nd in virtually perfect mechanical order. (S50 Engine has roughly 40,000 miles from new- my apologies to the purists!) I would characterize it as a true "hooligan", hat is now throughly usable on the street. This car has never failed me. It has all of its original panels, as never been in an accident that I know of, nd retains its entire original stock interior. Door, runk and hood gaps are perfect. Seats have usual wear on the bolsters. Only the chassis has the indicated mileage- all drive train parts are considerably newer. It has had one repaint in origional diamond black about 10 years ago that still shows well. My friend and I are building a club racecar - this car is way too nice to cut up for that purpose. I am selling this with mixed emotions, ainly because I am running out of storage space.
Some highlights- I'm sure I am forgetting some items: S50 engine from an E36 lightweight, onversion done about 8 years ago. Mild Schrick cams, 40 intake, ig injectors. Turner chip Shortie Headers, 36 M3 rear Exhaust Engine runs perfect. 6 speed conversion (.83 6th gear) Short shift, New lightweight UUC clutch- less than 1000 miles ago 3.25 limited slip diff rebuilt a few years ago New shortened drive shaft, arrier bearing and u joint. J stock suspension, ith front strut housings and lower a arms replaced 3 years ago. Re enforced rear sway bar pick up points Front strut brace Front strut tower re enforcement plates- (used in convertibles) Camber plates E36 M3 front brakes, acking plates for cooling ducts still in place. Stainless steel brake lines 7 series brake master cylinder 17"E36 M3 forged wheels, ew street tires Wheel studs Oil cooler Oil temp gage ½ Autopower bolt in cage AC compressor and condenser removed, ut evaporator, thermostatic cooling fan and complete interior still in car Extra set of E46 rims One repaint in original diamond black about 10 years ago. Nice Momo steering wheel and shift nob. Sunroof and radio still operational Some chips on nose and mirrors but still shows well. Retains all of its original body panels with BMW stickers, ever any accidents or serious repairs. 2 origional keys This car runs very well. Fabulous drivers school car, r use on the street and have a blast, nowing that it is only going to go up in value. Please call me with questions @ 856 912 6540 |
