Description of 1974 BMW 2002 |
NO RESERVE Very fast and fun to drive 1974 BMW 2002 with original color of Inka Orange with many tasteful upgrades, t is also California Smog Exempt. I have owned many 2002 models but non of them have ever been as fun to drive as this one, t has real stiff suspension and it drives as tight as my 2011 BMW 1M and it's as much fun all though it is not as fast. It likes to cruise and is comfortable at 80 mph and easily climbs up to 110 mph even with the original 4 speed. I had the exterior repainted properly, ot the engine compartment, runk or the door jams. It's not a complete frame-off restoration but a respectable everyday driver and reliable. The rusted areas which were fixed by cutting the metal and fabricating it were both rear quarters by the reat bumper, ome bubbles on the lower part of passenger door, nd metal fabricating around winshield and back-glass frames that had some rust. Also got brand new OEM BMW windshield gasket and back-glass gasket and chrome fillers. I bought the car already like this and the following is what was disclosed to me as upgrades already done when I bought it. -Volvo oversized front brake calipers-E21 vented front brake rotors-Rota RB wheels w/Yokahoma S-Drives-Ireland Engineering (IE) front air-dam-"Early" (pre -'74) rear bumper-Flush Euro turn signals (have "US" turn signals as well)-Momo steering wheel-Corbeau Forza fixed back seats (driver is standard, assenger is wide - can be easily swapped)-Corbeau seat brackets-Bilstein Sport shocks/struts-Eibach springs-Fixed camber plates on front (for ~.5 degrees more negative camber)-IE over-sized front and rear sway bars-Front strut brace-IE electric fan-Weber 38/38 (38 DGES) carb (have 32/36 as well)-IE urethane rear suspension bushings (differential mount, railing arms)-AKG Motorsport urethane subframe bushings Services done in last year:-Valve clearances checked/adjusted-Transmission fluid changed-Differential fluid changed-Belt changed-Thermostat replaced-Water pump replacedCoolant flushed-Various typical maintenance (e.g. oil/filter changes) Any questions please let me know. I guarantee it to be one of the best and most fun 2002 models you have ever driven if not the best. All this being said it needs the rust spots fixed, eeds a paint job, nd modify to your liking, hat's it. Come see it, rive it and send someone to inspect it. No reserve, ood luck :) Koorosh (323)422-4956 |
