Description of 1991 BMW 3-Series |
I am selling this for a friend home has now decided to part with a loved one.... and not the women in the picture :) His 1991 coupe 325ix standard transmission (as of now speaking through him...enjoy!) Hi my name is Craig I am selling a beloved car I have a history with I am a proud owner of BMW e30 325ix The first two pictures of what the car can be to you!! Those wheels are Hartge originals from Germany and are sold already. If you are looking at this car you know its history and performance ...if not driven a e30 I welcome you and especially if you are interested in a IX. I have to say this is my third IX thus far in my life and my favorite. I have been in the BMW family for 18 years and love bimmers!! Where do I begin I have owed this car since '08 bought it from a guy my age at the time in upstate NY. Car was in fantastic physical shape and still is to this day -no rust on this car - one noticeable spot above fender near gas fill was taken car of a couple years ago by a veteran autobody shop and was blended perfectly with rest of paint. As seen by pictures I will try to describe what has been done to car and what needs to be taken into consideration. Overall body for year is fantastic - a couple of chips and a slight ding on pass door you can not see from pictures and can not tell unless in direct sunlight. Interior is very good. Dash free of cracks and no other flaws. Seats are in good working shape front driver has a slight flaw in the vinyl on left side worn out (as seen in pic). What I have done since ownership. Never did any engine modifications. But the suspension on the entire car has been upgraded. I have replaced OEM control arms, ire rods, ront and rear axles. I have added H&R springs, oni yellow adjustable shocks, 30 M3 control offset bushings, ower flex subframe bushings, ower flex diff mount bushings, ear and front turner motorsport shock tower mounts and added a suspension techniques rear adjustable sway bar to the BMW. Since ownership I have serviced necessary brakes and rotors, erformed oil changes routinely roughly every year or 3K, nd alignment. I had leaky head gasket at one point that a good friend help me put in a new head purchased from Auto Technic. So we installed the new head, ater pump and thermostat less than 20K ago. Rear Calipers and left and right wheel bearing have both been replaced. Along with the gas tank and fuel pump (every e30 IX I owned thus far has had fuel tank leaks over 1/2 a tank??) Most work been performed by Auto Technic in New Milford, t they also rolled the fenders slightly so I could fit those Hartge wheels in the rear without rub. I have also installed a stainless steel supersprint exhaust and a jvc ipod cd player. Car comes with 14" powder-coated black BMW wheels (sorry no 15" basket-weaves sold them a couple years back for my Hartge's) with matching carbon fiber roundels. The good. Everything works- AC, eated seats, adio, unroof, ilt, indows, nterior lights etc. I replaced the gray door arm rests of the interior door cards to black much cleaner and nicer contract in my opinion - I still have the grays which will be included. I also took out the OEM antenna I had a S2000 on for a while until I sold to a friend - the OEM works but not certain if the power function works or not?.... it will be included. I have a full 14" spare tire and tool kit along with jack - tie iron and manual of car (pic coming soon) Engine bay is pretty clean (pic coming soon) This car is FUN! I have a handful of toys and this car - 25 years old is a blast to drive especially in the winter. The IX was built for Snow - I have had a couple X5 and jeeps and subarus and this by far is a Snow beast. This tank can also cruise thru any downpour. I had a chance to drive this in this past snow storm here in CT the only we had thus far and was cruising around for over an hour - this car is ridiculously fun in the snow!! The suspension upgrade performed make this car a overall blast for short commute or in town driving. Over my ownership I have garaged this car and mainly used for my winter vehicle for the past several years. Not too much power but the supervision upgrades make this thing a heck of a blast to drive all season esp in New England with all the twits and turns in the roads. The not so good. Car is 25 years old if looking for something modern with all the bells and whistles this is not for you - this is a car made for a driver and some that likes to maintain a piece of history. Brake line light is on ??? could be a sensor never routed problem ( I had turner motorsport stainless steel brakes-lines installed upon ownership) car brakes great and quickly due to upgraded rotors and pads as well. On board computer - needs replacement says engine oil - sometimes washer fluid - and brake lights. Probably needs replacement - All lights work keep tabs on oil and washer fluid. Rear Defroster light just went off -defroster still works. Blow motor resistor is going bad once again making loud noise - I have replaced three of these already ($30) not too difficult of a job During this past summer I lost on the passenger side of the car the chrome drip molding and have yet to find it just started looking via ebay or junk yards ($150 new) Car does not leak oil but eats a little maybe half quart a thousand miles did not put time and effort to find cause someone handy can locate cause. Needs value adjustment (again someone handy with a little time can take care of this problem) I think that is about it for now if I can think anything to add I will - this car is a blast to drive feel free to send me a text directly with any questions or take a look locally 2o3-99 four-13eight3 zero feedback buyers will have to inquire before bidding and sale upon auction needs to be swift as I am leaving town by end of week I have right to end auction and car is being sold locally Thank you!!
