Well folks, after owning this car for 32 years, I have decided it is time to part with her. I bought this car one year old with 13,000 miles on it. In the 32 years that I have owned it, I have added an additional 240,000 miles. In those years, it has really been a fun car to own and to drive. It has spent most of its time in Texas but had been to Florida, Kentucky, and Colorado and many states in between. During the years the gas would get expensive, I was still driving, taking this car on camping trips, bike rides, and wherever else I needed to go. Reaching about 30 mpg in th 1980s and 1990s. Now that fuels are all blended, it gets about 24-25 mpg. This car has also done well in all seasons. With the limited slip differential, it was always one of the safer cars on the road when the weather got ugly. I had always planned on keeping this car, and perhaps let my kids drive it. But now my oldest is reaching driving age, I feel she will need a newer vehicle. Included in the sale are over 30 years of records and maintenance. Recent work includes: new head gasket, new starter, new fuel pump, new radiator. The air conditioning has been converted to R134. This car is an S package car. This features a sports suspension, Recarro seats, Leather wrapped 3 spoke sport steering wheel, BBS style wheels, front air dam, and does not have stylenumbers on the trunk lid. It also has a 5 speed transmission that keeps up with 21st century traffic. It is fun to drive. The car also has a factory mechanical sunroof(no leaks), roll down windows, and manual seats. No electric motors to wear out. The S package wheels are all original and even the spare is a matching white mag. The tool kit attached to the trunk lid is the large kit and has all the tools that it had when I purchased the car. See pics. Things that will need attention: well, this car is 33 years old now. And some things could use some attention. Check the pictures for the interior condition. The original steering wheel has some leather worn at the top of it. I have purchase another wheel, but one will need to have new leather stitched on it. On the panel, there is a knob for the ventilation that does not stay on. I do have the knob. Also, the warning light switch needs replaced. Also, note the dash has a molded dash cover. Under the cover, the original dash has a couple cracks on it. The seats as well indicate normal wear and tear. For the exterior, the body is in very good condition with minor dings and scratches. The original pin striping is no longer on the car. if you are looking for a classic ride that gets thumbs up and is fun and economical to drive, take this out for a spin. I have tried to list everything that I know about the vehicle. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask. The car is located in Lancaster, Texas and can be brought to Dallas for anybody wishing to inspect the car. Thank you for looking. happy Bidding.
