Description of 1989 BMW 3-Series 320i |
Here is a very rare Euro-spec BMW 320i M-Technic II. The car has original 63k kilometers, which is about 39k miles. The condition of the car is as nice as you would expect from a 39k-mile BMW. These cars were not available for the US market. They have 2.0L straight six M20 power plant. The exterior is pristine and practically flawless. A small chip on the front left bumper corner is the only imperfection that you will find on this car. The paint is still glossy, the glass is clean and all wheels are free of curb rash. All rubber seals and gaskets are original but look fresh, which tells me that the car has been garage kept since new. There absolutely no rust anywhere on the car, except of the rear muffler, which is common on older BMW's. Interior is also in excellent condition. A small hole on the driver's seat (see photo) is the only thing worth mentioning. Everything else is flawless and in perfect shape. No cracks in the dash. Mechanically it is just perfect. Everything in this car works as designed, including AC and all power features. The engine pulls strong, transmission is smooth and suspension is quiet and tight. We have some service records for the car. There is also a label indicating the timing belt replacement (see photo). The tires look a few months old. Although this car was imported from Japan if you look it up by the VIN at realoem.com, it shows being a Euro car, which is very common due to the fact that most European cars in the 80's and 90's were imported to Japan by individual dealers, rather than BMW Corporation. This also explains why this BMW is left hand drive. This BMW had an active registration up to the point when it was brought to the US. It is important, because it means the car had to be inspected and serviced as per Japan's laws. Please, keep in mind the odometer is in kilometers, not miles. We legally imported the car from Japan. The car will come with a clean Florida title and it can be registered anywhere in the US. If you are in California, however, please make sure it will meet your state's pollution requirements.
