Description of 1989 BMW 3-Series

For sale is a custom built 1989 BMW E30 325i with an S52 and manual 6 Speed transmission and Z3 steering rack.

The engine is 3.2L S52 converted to OBDI with an S50 head allowing more airflow. This engine has been completely rebuilt, cleaned and resealed with approx 113k miles on the engine and about 3k on it since rebuild. It also has a new VNOS kit on it with less than 1k miles.

This car is CA smogged and BAR'ed. One of the only E30 swaps I know of that is BAR legal.

-Transmission is a 6 speed manual from an E46 M3 with a brand new clutch kit.

-The suspension is completely rebuilt and upgraded to a 5-lug swap including adjustable coil overs from race land, tie rods, and other components.

-Additional items replaced in the last 3k miles are new master / slave cylinder, clutch fluid, brake kit, cooling system, motor mounts, 944 brake booster, IS front lip, M-Sport door handles, and new battery.

-Electrical, the car has a top of the line Infinity sound system with a rewired original deck, Viper alarm system with auto start, HID headlights, red LED running lights, and LED interior lights. The entire car was has been completely rewired from the box during this build and all electrical systems work including mirrors, locks, keyless entry, etc.

-The interior was reupholstered in 2013 and the headliner is in very good condition.

-In the last month the car has gotten a completely new exhaust / emissions system with heat painted headers, brand new CA catalytic converter, O2 sensors, etc to pass BAR.

-Flaws- Built intentionally without A/C. This was a choice. Not that difficult to put back in. Cruise control is disconnected and power antenna gets stuck sometimes. I have a z3 short antenna setup if desired. The paint is very good and the interior is near flawless. Running a 4.10 open diff. I have access to a 2.79 LSD if interested. It's a matter of what you plan to do with the car that dictates the diff setup. I have been happy with the 4.10 so far.

Clean CA title, never been in an accident and above all adult owned and never abused. The car cost much much more to develop. A bargain at the asking price.
