Description of 1986 BMW 3-Series 4-Door |
I'm headed overseas and need to sell my E30. I love driving it and might have looked forward to fixing it up even more, but I have to let it go. Update: If you were following this listing earlier, I apologize for the hiatus. I was straightening a piece of trim. This car comes from a smoke-free and pet-free environment.Runs and drives well. Darn near telepathic steering--IMO, this was BMW at their peak. Clean title, straight body, new battery. Has had a lot of work done in the last 5K miles, and more in the last 30K (see below). Comes with a lot of extras, including an extra set of wheels and tires. Not just fun to drive, but also reliable: It made a road trip from Seattle to Chicago and back in the fall of 2012, and recently I've been driving it on the highway with no complaints. The paint is in remarkably good condition overall, with rust in a couple isolated points. Between 2013 until this past summer the car was only driven rarely, because the previous owner couldn't figure out an engine problem (a vacuum leak which I have since fixed for good) and bought another used BMW as his daily. The odometer stopped at 175045 in 2012, and since it was barely driven between 2013 and summer of 2016, there's no way the car could have more than 200,000 miles. According tonadaguides.com, this model’s average value is $3875. I'm asking less than that mainly because the interior has visible wear (scuffs, missing mats, tear in driver seat leather), there are a couple electrical bugs (see Condition), and because the Idle Control Valve needs to be replaced. Until it is, the car will idle high. Otherwise the engine is in great shape. Link:http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1986/BMW/325E/4-Door-Sedan/Values Work done in the last 6 months:
