Description of 1985 BMW 3-Series

Excellent condition - a west coast survivor. Mechanically, this car drives like the low mileage car that it is. All the belts and hoses have been replaced, and it needs nothing. Doesn't consume oil like most of these older BMWs, and aside from needing a respray, the car is in fantastic shape. Likely one of the best remaining examples of this car around. It has the original Bronzit paint. The interior seats were replaced, as well as a number of mechanical issues (wiper motor, door handles, etc.) It's been garaged for the two years I've owned it, and it's time for it to find its next home. The spare tire was original to 1985, and that has been replaced to match the Kumho tires that are on the car. This would be an excellent restoration candidate. All recent maintenance done professionally at West Werks Auto in Redmond, Washington.
The seat leather is in decent shape, and the sunroof works flawlessly. There is an aftermarket stereo that the previous owner installed.
Issues -
The drivers' side window glass needs to be attached - it is loose in the frame. The windshield wiper fluid dispenser isn't functioning. There is a short in the instrument cluster, which is working 90% of the time, but 10% of the time it doesn't function. The paint needs a respray - the clear coat is coming off on most of the surfaces exposed to direct sun. The fan speed controller needs to be fixed - it works but on only one speed setting.
