Description of 1991 BMW 7-Series |
I bought this car on eBay where it was advertised as having a strong engine. It is a good engine that didn't leak last I checked. but it will need to be rebuilt. I drove the car home a year ago about 30 miles with no issues whatsoever. it just has low compression. I bought the vehicle about a year ago for the engine. to swap into another car. Since this engine needs to be rebuilt as it turns out. I rebuilt my other car's engine instead and this car has sat since the day I bought it. I've run it a couple times and it starts right up no problem. Rebuilding one V12 by hand was enough fun for me. I'm not interested in rebuilding this engine as well. but could definitely give some pointers if you would be attempting the project yourself. It does not have a battery. and due to the low compression. I recommend putting it on a trailer. It has a clean title. The engine I rebuilt on the car I'm keeping was a complete success - so much power! This engine has fantastic potential. I have a complete list of parts needed for a full rebuild. If this listing is unsuccessful. I'll probably just keep the car and eventually rebuild the engine for another project. Interior is rough. I purchased this car last year with the intention of only using the drive-train. It could be restored. most all of the interior is present. A couple plastic parts and a seat-belt buckle in the back are missing. No electrical issues the last time I ran the engine. |
