Description of 1988 BMW 3-Series IX |
I'm looking to sell my 88 325ix. It was up on eBay once and the winning bidder was outside of the country for over a month. Finally just getting to relist. Please do not make an offer if you do not plan to purchase it, or cannot purchase it in a reasonable time frame. It has 195,xxx miles on It. With some work it could be a very nice car. It could especially use fresh paint. The original paint is really showing its age. Recently the check engine light just went on the dash. I believe it’s something simple, as it still runs well. Interior is in nice condition and has sport seats and wheel. Work done since I've owned the car last 2 years: New gas tank, pump, lines, filter, and filler neck New stainless steel cat back exhaust Sparkplugs Valve Cover Gasket Windshield Rust Repair: I patched the front floor pan corners and lower half of both from fenders. Also had to do the same to the rear battery box area and rear valance. I'm not a professional but it turned out pretty nice. It's not perfect but much better that having the rot spread. There is some surface rust appearing again. I also recently replace the sunroof panel with one in better condition. This still needs to be adjusted correctly. It's in but will not open completely. The original had had rusted out near one of the mounting points. I has also patched a small rust whole under the plastic sunroof air deflector. One part I haven't fixed yet is rust where the license plate lights mount. It would be best to repair it soon. Overall rust wise I believe this car is in better shape then most IX cars. Especially being located in the Northeast. It was actually an Oregon car originally that came to NY state a few years ago. Its now located in PA. Last Owner said to be done, Waterpump and timing belt around 185,000 miles Guiblo for awd I believe he may have rebuilt or replaced the transfer case. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. |
