In 1971 BMWs highest performance sport sedan was the 2002ti; the fuel injected tii was not released until 1972. The 2002ti came standard with higher compression, 2 side draft Solex 2 bbl carburetors, a smaller diameter brake booster [freshly rebuilt] to make room for the carbs and special air filter, the bigger front brakes, hubs and bearings that later became standard on the tii, and special grill badging. This car started life as an ordinary 1971 BMW 2002 but has been modified to have all those parts. It has a rebuilt engine [by Terry Sayther] with Euro spec 9.5:1 compression pistons, it has a Stahl header, sport seats, a dash cover to cover the usual dash cracks, rare turbo alloy wheels, a new clutch, rebuilt tii calipers, new carpet and more. In addition it has a new master ctlinder, rear wheel cylinders, all hoses, all tuning parts, fuel pump, ball joints, upper front strut mounts, Front and rear Bilstein shocks, new subframe bushings, new blower motor, driveshaft flex disc, and more. This car is fun to drive, it will be hard to find a better one.
