Description of 1986 BMW 3-Series |
This is a fully optioned rare 1986 BMW- 325es.It has a swapped Bavarian motor works m20 engine with 40,000 miles on it. The engine came from a car which was rear ended. The car runs EXCELLENT and has been maintained. This car also has with BBS side skirts, the extremely rare m-tech 1 front and rear aprons, rear trunk lip spoiler, 2.93 lsd, great condition sports seats, and a sunroof.Smooth shifting 5 speed. I bought this vehicle because I had one when I was younger, however I just bought a rare 1971 BMW and this is going to be my new project. This 325es is so well preserved, however like all e30’s the dashboard is cracked, but you can purchase a ($245) leather cover that can be glued on by a professional to cover the cracks. Unfortunately the sunroof deflector’s bolts rusted through 2 small section of the roof over time. I covered it with white duct tape (don’t judge me) and I have never opened it, so I am not sure if the sunroof opens. Note: this is the only rust on the entire car. There is some very, very minor surface rust behind the tail lights and behind the quarter windows. The front m-tech spoiler and rear spoiler need paint, which I custom ordered 2 spray can of factor original Alpine White color matched paint from the original factory color code, along with the paint gloss sealer. The AC does not blow cold air, and the exhaust needs to be mounted properly (although it is not a problem). This is the tightest e30 I have ridden in, by far.
Here is a list of modifications: The cam was reground for better performance The cat was removed The mid pipe removed for better performance as it is emissions exempt New Spark plug wires New cap and rotor New oil in January 2018 New performance air filter was installed New rear brakes New rear rotors New shift boot from Germany New shift handle m-logo New battery 5 months old New Coolant hoses and vac-hoses New LUK clutch kit with TO bearing. New front headlight halo kit New headlights on both side (whole kit) New expensive custom rims (see below) New performance tires on all rims with less than 50 miles on them New suspension components, Shocks, and Springs New lowering kit and the car was lowered New lower dashboard knee valance (new old stock). Hard to find this piece. New side marker lens in yellow and white. New rear BMW truck badges. New aluminum peddle kit for gas | brake| and dead peddle foot rest
Again, all the suspension components were replaced and the car was lowered, it handles amazingly well. Wheel Size: 17x7 Offset: 38mm One-piece, motorsport-styled mesh spoke Rivets and a machined lip (Manufacturer Part #:AR17R12). Finish: Silver with Machined Lip. Weight: 21.0 lbs. Tire Size: 205/45-17. Backspacing: 5.51"Bolt Pattern: 4-100. This set of wheels and tires with spacers and installation was over $1,200.00. If you come to drive this car you will love it. I have the original bill of sale from 1986, along with the original window sticker, radio code, owner’s manuals, and tape cleaning kit. Car has been garage since I bought it. I have had many BMW’s, while this is the nicest one out of all of them, I need the garage space and no longer have time to drive and enjoy the car. I hope it finds a good home. This is a rare car for sure.If there are ANY questions or concerns about the car please contact us BEFORE placing your bid. This is a used 32 year old car. There is no warranty expressed or implied.
