This BMW 1988 BMW M3 in Diamantschwarz Metallic with just about 116,000 plus miles is been offered up for sale. This particular M3 came from a well loved home after 20 years plus of ownership by the previous owner and was well taken care of. Used as a weekend car by him and his wife, they seriously had amazing stories that came from owning this amazing M3.
I soon found it incredibly hard leaving their home with this amazing machine. The time had come for them to say goodbye and move on. In their late 60's I think its great for them to enjoy that beautiful Ferrari they have stored away, and what a beauty it was.
The previous owner performed some modifications to the car as they tracked the car from time to time. This started as a fun and meet factor and became a way of both to enjoy something they both loved, driving an E30 M3 around east coast tracks. The carbon fiber VIS hood for weight reduction and then the interior was removed leaving only the two front seats intact. A bolt on roll bar was fitted to provide some additional stiffness and safety. Yes every e30 m3 could always used some work here and there and it never ends this is another .
The mechanics of the car has received a great deal of attention, its now equipped with a 2.5-liter S14 inline-four paired with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Yes it's a 2.5 that makes you go wow every time. I have been an E30 M3 owner since I was just about 20 years old providing me the chance to own many E30 M3's and other BMW Motorsports cars in the last 20 plus years and well this gave me a special feeling. The S14 2.3 is absolutely great with zero modification. An early Sunday morning drive makes you younger at every turn. Now get in and take this E30 M3 2.5L spec S14 for a drive and my-god time, age and that amazing feeling becomes priceless.
The power of a stroked 2.5 S14 is just a way different feeling. A Turner Motorsport a 2.5-liter forged 11.25: 1 compression pistons, 95mm connecting rods, oil pan gasket, 2.5 crankshaft seal, lower gasket set, 2.5L head gasket and 2.5L crankshaft spacer. A Tuner Motorsport performance chip (Dinan) was also added. The Bilstein / H&R suspension is nice and tight, showing no signs of rattle or sound anywhere. All new tie rods assy., boot ball joint, knuckle, mounts, bushing and a urethane trailing arm bush kit have been installed. A front stress and rear stabilizer bars are in place. The oil, gas, and battery gauge are all in working order following a rebuild of the cluster. A new battery also installed with a proper cut off switch . Fog lights and power mirrors are not working at this time. All other electronics are in proper working order.
A recent service of November 2018 included a new electric fan, complete rebuild of the rear brakes, parking brake, mew belts and an oil change. A valve adjustment was also performed with compression test results of 210 all a crossed all 4 cylinders by a master S14 mechanic. No leaks, rattle or other issues are known. The body is pretty clean but lets all be clear this is not a diva and is not being sold or presented like one . Some of you all love keeping it under the cover and stored away getting a drive here or there . Well nothing wrong with that but this is just not one of those . She is a rust free east coast car and has been well wrench by its previous owner.
I acquired this E30 M3 in mid-2018 with the intention of bringing it to more of a beautiful daily driver and keeping its heart of a track beast still intact for its future owner. A recent repaint included the carbon hood, front bumper, new EVO II lip, roof and mirrors. The front bumper was remove at time of repainting, no signs of any frame damage was present, the frame rails and strut towers showed no signs of work ever performed.
The interior has been upgraded with all new upholstery on the front and rear seats . The front seats are Recaro and the rear is factory original. The original carpet was tan but was died black. The dash is crack-free but has a small blemish as can be seen in the pictures. A set of Sparco foot pedals have been added and a Momo steering wheel along with matching shift knob will come with sale. The Mtech 1 steering wheel has been recently redone with all new leather. The radio sounds great with an amplifier in the trunk for extra power, I don't use the radio as the beautiful roar of the S14 is good enough for me but an occasionally Saturday morning of NPR car talk is welcome.
The wheels are factory BMW Style 5 BBS' which could use a refinish or replacement. I would be happy to have them redone if you like at an additional cost. The headlights are OEM with yellow film that be easily removed if you do not like. The car has deleted side markers but the wires are all there along with a A/C delete but I do have most of the A/C unit parts to come back to life if one desires. The car shows a total loss in 1996 before its previous owner and of course myself, shows to have been a front end collision. As a result, the car does have DOT front fenders and carbon hood. The door VINs are intact and so is the trunk and rear bumper VIN decals. The front bumper is an OEM with a DOT VIN.

The car does not have or ever has had a salvage or rebuilt title in any state. Its now been offer with a clear and ready to register VIRGINIA title . This is a 3 owner car. Previous owner bought from his neighbor and I bought it from him. please ask about the carfax i will gladly send it to you .
Comes with bolt on roll bar and extra set of OEM door cards all four and some misc parts as well. A folder of records dating back to 1993 will also be available.
I am selling this BMW E30 2.5L M3 as a pure awesome daily driver or be my guest and turn it to a diva if you like..... not my thing but I also get it. I drive my cars at any given moment, the hell with weather or value. A friend once told me he never washes E30 M3 with water, well I thought to myself how much is he missing out?!? Drive it like you stole it in the rain, snow or sunshine and share it like it belongs to everyone. Its' a car and it is made to be driven, not looked at. That smile people have and thumps up as you pass them by .
I do have several other BMW E30 M3's also coming up for sale if this is not for you in couple of weeks included a couple of shells that all will be posted here on eBay to give everyone a fair and honest chance to purchase at a great price and not stupid ridiculous prices like people think they are made of gold or are a cancer cure . That been said all of the funds of this and the other cars will go towards my mother cancer treatment so you get a great car and help a great mother out in the process as well as I found out its a expensive journey indeed .
