Description of 1973 BMW 2002 |
Check out the values of these "roundie" BMWs... WOW!!! In the high $20K's and more once restored. This beautiful car is easily a high teens ($) roundie with some minor sweat equity and a few hundred dollars in parts. Patch 2-3 spots on floorpans (definitely only patches required in very contained areas), swap auto for manual tranny (autos make great 5 speed conversion candidates due to bigger tunnel, one can source 4 spd tranny and all of the associated equipment to do the conversion for less than $1k total from online sellers all day long), new carpet, some rubber seals, seat upholstery and some minor fiddling. Current respray is in correct (as it was from the factory) Agave green color (paint code 071). Basketweave alloys. This car was manufactured on February 7th, 1973 and delivered later that same month to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors in New York City, as were all BMW 2002's at that time. It is believed to have been a Georgia car it's whole life and has spent the past several years stored. Sold with GA Registration and Bill or Sale which will get you a clean title in any State (google it- GA is a "no title" state for 1986 or older. States that will issue a title for older cars will accept current GA registration and Bill of Sale as proof of ownership to secure a title in new owner's State). I'm assuming based upon condition that the mileage has turned over one time only. Please feel free to message me with questions or if you want to see photos of a specific area. I hate to let this one go but I'm told that I have too many projects going already and we need room in the garage! THANKS! |
