Description of 1991 BMW 3-Series 325i |
1991 BMW 325i Convertible - Manual Transmission - E30 - V6 - M20 Titled as a 1992 because BMW was still producing '91 body style early into '92.This car is being sold as is and for a fair price. It's worth more in parts than my asking price. I'm a very honest seller with perfect feedback on eBay. Please read this listing carefully, everything I know about this car has been noted and photographed. I've had this car for seven years and absolutely love it. It's the second one I've owned. I plan to buy a house and would like to add to my down payment. It's been my daily driver and has been reliable (about 50 miles a week). Mechanically, it's well maintained for its age and condition. It doesn't throw error codes or have any active service lights. I've addressed all mechanical issues as soon as they arose. As I said, it's worth more in parts than running, but I hope to sell it to a mechanically inclined person that knows old cars. It's titled in Illinois and at 29 years old, qualifies as a classic. Any buyer will be responsible for inspections and emissions for their state. The buyer is responsible for shipping. Odometer Miles: 129,348 (odometers commonly fail on this model)Estimated Miles: 155,000VIN: WBABB131XNEC05803 Startup Video:https://youtu.be/MArxFpS6ZLw Hi-Res Photos:https://imgur.com/a/eWuj1vm This car starts every time and is very fun to drive (manual transmission). The engine runs well and makes good power. I've never really pushed the engine over 2,800 rpm (no need to break stuff being a jackass). The transmission shifts well; it's a bit noisy in neutral but that's common with this model. It's a convertible and makes for a fun night out. Recent work:New timing belt, belts, water pump and distributor last yearNew muffler last yearNew front tires, newish rear tiresBrand New battery (bonus, tested all wiring and there are no shorts)New clutch two years agoNew starter a few years agoNew fuel pump a few years agoNew motor mounts a few years ago Things that are broken---The transmission has a leak in the input shaft seal and requires additional fluid twice a month. ($20 every other month for Redline MT-90)The transmission can be easily filled from a funnel in the engine bay.The transmission only holds about half of the recommended gear oil and could possibly run hot on long trips. I never really go more than 50 miles and it hasn't been a problem. The transmission leak can be fixed in an afternoon. It needs to be pulled and the input seal needs to be replaced. I don't have time.---The engine leaks a quart of oil every six months. The underside of the car is oily but has prevented rust. The driver's side seat is broken and uses a brace to support the angle of the seat back. The front suspension was replaced a few years ago but is still a little loose. The Power Steering and AC belts are not connected. The paint sucks and there are rust spots (pictured above). It's hard to lock. Probably just needs oiled.Might need a valve job.Needs a $20 headlight relay. Again, this car cost $3,200. This model is highly sought after and the price is firm. Please don't waste my time if you don't have $3,200. Once purchased and paid in full, I'll ship the Title and one of the keys within a day. After that, I'm happy to make arrangements with your shipper of choice. My schedule is fairly flexible and I'll make sure the pick up goes smoothly. Happy to answer any questions. Best wishes,Paul |
