Being that the car is a 1980 the vin is not 17 characters. The vin is 7350439

This is a great car. Runs good drives good, has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, just replaced the clutch slave cylinder. Great car as everyday driver, or a perfect candidate for restoration. I haven’t driven the car in about 1 1/2 years because I didn’t want to put miles on it. The odometer gear broke so I stopped driving and just haven’t got around to replacing the gear. I didn’t want to put miles on the car that wouldn’t be accounted for. If you pull the car fax it will verify the miles are accurate. The car is originally from Vermont I believe. There is some surface rust underneath which is expected. The driver side fender has rusted through which I typical of these cars if you know the e23 model. Most of the older bimmers actually have the issue so it’s nothing to be alarmed about. Also the spare wheel well has rusted through. To the best of my knowledge that is all of the rusted areas. This is a very solid car. The leather seats are near mint, I haven’t noticed any cracks or rips. I’ve owned and been in a lot of these early model bmws and inwould say this is probably one of the best in regard to the condition of the seats.
