1987 BMW 535i, Ultimate Driving Machine!

This 1987 BMW 535i (E28) is finished in Dolphin Grey Metallic over Pearl Beige leather with matching door panel inserts and carpets, and is powered by a 3.4-liter M30B34 inline-six paired with an OEM replacement four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission was replaced by BMW in 2006. The 17″ BBS alloy wheels wear 235/45 R17 Continental ContiProContact tires. This vintage sports sedan was acquired by the seller in December 2022, to save it from a seller that really did not understand what they had.
The car was refinished in 2006 in the original Dolphin Grey Metallic, and at that time received a new OEM windshield and new OEM dash, imported from Germany. Additional work under previous ownership also included new motor mounts, fluid changes and replacement of the tie rods, drag links, brake components, brake master cylinder, hoses, and rotors and pads, transmission pan gasket, radiator hoses, and heater blower motor. Features include fog lights, chrome-accented bumpers, power-adjustable seats, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, telescoping power antennae, intermittent wipers, a powered sunroof, and twin central exhaust outlets, power-adjustable seats, an onboard computer, and an aftermarket stereo. The removed factory stereo is included in the sale. The air conditioning and the central locking system does not work.
The M-branded steering wheel exhibits wear and frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows 82k miles, 1k of which were added by the seller. This E28 is super clean and has no rust… definitely a head turner, as there are less and less of these on the road.
This 535i shows only 82k miles and is offered with service records, a service manual, a clean Carfax report, and Indiana registration in the seller’s name. The buyer will receive two sets of keys and all paperwork in file, that shows this sports sedan received attention and was well maintained. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
