The mileage is now at 198K and I am the documented 3rd owner, but the second owned it only for a matter of months. The original owner received it as a high school graduation present in 1989 and it was purchased new from Schomp BMW and it was serviced by Schomp BMW in Denver for the vast majority of it's life with its first owner... and there's a HUGE stack of receipts and documents to prove it. I also have a year old Carfax from when I purchased it last August 2022. The bigger items that most will want to know about are (the timing belt was done at around 180K) detailed in the paper receipts. It's been pampered all its life, but it needed a few things when I got it, here's the list: Brand new leather interior Brand new roof Brand new Depo "smiley" Euro cross-hatch projector headlights (originals boxed and come with purchase) 15" M3 basketweave wheels that have been professionally trued and refinished (I also have the original 14" basketweaves, but this are NOT included in purchase, but I will consider offers.) Brand new Yokohama Evan Fleva tires M3 steering wheel (original comes with purchase) M Technic floor mats, handbrake cover, and drink holder Valve cover gasket, valve timing and throttle body replacement done in June of 2023.And the original windshield! (rare for a Colorado car)
Only known issue: Gas gauge only reads 3/4 full at fill up. I have 2 brand-new fuel sending units (left and right), but just haven't replaced them yet and they come with purchase. The BIG item: A FULL 5 speed swap "kit": pretty much EVERYTHING you need to do the swap, minus a pilot bearing and the shifter boot (many available online). The clutch plate is in almost new condition, but it's your choice if you want to choose another clutch. EVERY part in the swap "kit" came from the same donor car. More details on this are available upon request. All in all, this car is at 95%-99%. It could use some paint TLC, but presents itself very well as is. Mechanically it's ridiculously reliable and runs incredibly strong. On the road, its handling is super tight and responsive and tracks dead straight with zero drift at highways speeds...even at 90mph coming down our steep Colorado mountain roads!
