Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1973 BMW 3. 0 CS powered by a Euro-spec fuel-injected M30B34. Clad in correct Verona Red. the paint. bumpers. grille. trim. glass and rubbers are in nice driver condition. Floor pans and rockers are in good original condition with no known rust issues. aside from light surface rust in a few spots and a few pinholes in the spare tire well. Period-appropriate Alpina-style 14-inch wheels with new tires. It's a great looking car that never fails to turn heads. The interior shows very well; leather seats are particularly nice. carpet. headliner and dash are in great shape. All gauges. lights. indicators and switches are working. Wood on the dash is excellent; door panel wood trim has minor damage to leading edge on both sides. Period Nardi wood steering wheel. Ventilation and heat controls work properly and the A/C. which has been converted to R-134a. blows cold. Under the hood is a fuel-injected M30 from a 1978 Euro 635CSi; it's mated to a Getrag five-speed dogleg gearbox and it makes considerably more power than the stock drivetrain. Believed to have around 1. 00 miles on the rebuilt engine. clutch and gearbox. The E9 chassis handles the extra power with ease; new brakes (including four new OE calipers and new braided lines). shocks and suspension bushings certainly help. It feels quite fast and is very fun to drive. This is the CS for someone who actually wants to drive one. Excellent touring or vintage rally car.
