Description of 1955 Buick Other Special 2 DR Hard Top |
1955 Buick Special 2 door hardtopLets call it a Garage find. Spectacular Original car. Built in Flint. All gauges functional. Slight pitting on chrome. Easy restore to show quality or add to collection as is. This car is a beauty. The interior has been redone and repainted at least 25 years ago. . I think. Head liner EXCELLENT. No modifications have been made to this car its all original. The only upgrade to the car is the paint about 25 yeas ago. I had the brakes redone and everthing under the hood is all original. (except the battery) GORGEOUS DEEP DARK RED/BURGANDY 1955 BUICK SPECIAL WITH WHITE ROOF. BEAUTIFUL BODY LINES AND LOTS OF CHROME ALL THE WAY AROUND. LOADED WITH POWER OPTIONS 264 V8 ENGINE and an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This nostalgic masterpiece 1955 Buick has a solid body with 100% of the chrome original. The red/burgandy with a white roof on the car looks awesome for being repainted over 25 years ago. It’s showing its age with some minor bubblings. The red and grey two tone seats are excellent and look amazing. Seat covers were installed to cover a couple of seam rips. (quick and inexpensive fix) I pulled back the seat cover to show you what I mean. The 264 v8 engine runs like a top and powers the car down the road with an automatic transmission. The piece of Americana rolls down the road in style with white wall tires and correct Buick caps. Please Note. No suprises with this car. When I first moved here some 21 years ago. I have been eyeing up this car. sitting in an old car garage. Everytime I seen the entrance door open I would walk over and look at it and talk to the guy. Everytime I'd ask him to sell. he would just tell me NO and to go home. He would run it a few times a year. Then about 12 years ago he decided he needed to tear down the garage and offered the car to me. After I did a few cart wheels and got the smile off my face. I accepted. When I got it home. the brakes and the carb needed rebuilding. other than that. a good cleaning. Nothing about this car is hidden or covered up. The engine compartment never got repainted. the trunk mat/cover is original. The transmissioin leaked a bit when I got it but as soon as I ran it. it doesn't anymore. Seals perhaps were dried up. The paint. as I said earlier. is about 25 years old. and before I listed it. all I did was clean and put the polish to it. (for hours and hours - I love this car) and It came out beautiful. No touch up paint - nothing. It's got minor blemishes and very little bubbling. It's here ready for you to see. or the close up pictures are taken for you to inspect. This is a original. numbers matching (I'm sure of) fine automobile. This car is also listed locally. so I choose the right to end this auction earlyAdded: Electric fuel pump Please call or text 306-796-7749 or email me and I will be happy to tell you more. |
