Description of 1955 Buick Riviera RARE SURVIVOR - 100% Matching #'s Worth 149,000+! |
A True Investment Car This is a near 100% cosmetically original 1955BuickSuper Riviera 2 Door Hardtop. Completely matching numbers including every component make this an ultra rare vehicle. This was a top of the lineBuickback in 1955. It was sold new at Standard Motors in Southern California where it had remained in storage until 1994. It wears the original factory two tone coat of Dover White over Cadet Blue. This is an ULTRA-RARE time capsule with only a small handful like it left in the world, /b>(A professional appraiser estimated that maybe only 4-5 survivors with this kind of low mileage & level of originality may still exist worldwide). (I have 80+ pictures of everything from under the vehicle, n the trunk, ood, ct available upon request.) This same exact car model has sold for $148,500.00 fully restoredin 2008 at the exclusive Barrett-Jackson Auction as seen here: (Copy and Paste This Link To See It For Yourself- Photo of Closed Auction below) barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/1955-BUICK-RIVIERA-56R-SUPER-2-DOOR--HARDTOP-60724 Car ConditionThe only difference between this car up for auction and the one that sold for $148,500.00 at Barrett-Jackson in 2008 is that my car has Even Less Mileage! (31,657 vs. their 37,115), AND ALSO INCLUDES many rare goodies like the original tire panels, ubcaps, loor runner, il bath air cleaner, tc. Today, n 2015 this car could easily in the same restored condition, ell for over 200K! The interior is 100% completely original as well, nd the carpet is nice from the protection of the original rubber mats. Very straight body with all original panels, o repairs including no filler at all. The floors, rame and trunk are rust free. This is a true time capsule and not like many other cars on ebay that are classic but not rare & original survivors like this one is.
This car has been stored since 1994 and the original discontinued California black license plate is also included. The brakes feel good but they have not been rebuilt or inspected so I have not yet taken it out on the street. I had planned on going through them first to be safe, ut I haven't had the time. I have only driven it on my property after it came off the auto carrier, nd the brakes seem to be impressively strong considering their age. I got a quote from an reputable company for a ground up restoration on this vehicle and was told that appx. 15-20k and six months time would be required to make it as perfect as the Barrett-Jackson car. That means thatyour ROI, Return on investment), ith the proper restoration can be truly impressive. In today's economy, any investors are investing in survivor classic cars due to how they hold & increase in value and especially the rarities like this one. I am reluctantly selling it only because I have a great startup business opportunity and do not have the time to give it the proper full restoration it deserves. I will work with international buyers. Please email with any questions you have and I will answer them quickly, horoughly, nd honestly. Thank you and good luck! |
