Description of 1968 Buick Skylark Custom Coupe |
I am selling my 1968 Buick Skylark Custom Coupe because I am in need of a truck and currently moving out of state in a few short weeks. It has a newly built 350 engine with edelbrock covers and newly built transmission with a B&M shift kit w/overdrive and low gears. It also has 2 dual flow single chamber flow masters installed for the exhaust. With a metal overflow tank instead of a plastic one. Brand new gas fuel tank installed as well. Has original dash and original dash dials along with original radio. No A/C, nd dials for AC don't work until you install the AC pump and unit. One front lowbeam headlight is out but other ones work along with the high beams. Also has a modern radio installed with speakers which work. Trunk has a custom fitted floorboard covering the floor pan making the trunk an even level throughout. Trunk has small rust and cracks around one of the drainage holes in the floor pan but can easily be fixed. Slight top rust around back window seal and trunk but can be grounded and sanded off. I grinded and sanded down entire floor pan of the cab and revealed with POR15 rust and corrosion resistant sealant so if you have the time it's an inexpensive fix! Has new Cooper Radial Cobra GT Tires along with classic rims "which are plastidipped black" so the black can be removed to reveal chrome and bronze colored rims. Drives incredible and has drum brakes all around which where bled and work great! Needs interior carpeting and roof kit along with door panels if you want to restore to showroom quality. This car is a great daily drive or weekend warrior and I hate to see it go but like I said I'm moving and can't accommodate the car any longer. Would make an amazing project car, r drag car or a car restored to original quality. Front hood needs new hinges but I can toss in brand new Chevelle hinges for it. Currently the from this doesn't lay flat due to a slight bend in the hood "not noticeable" but could need a few tweaks to lay it down flat again. This car sounds amazing! And demands a presence wherever you go! Any questions or inquiries please feel free to contact me, hank you. NO RESERVE, eed to sell before the move! |
