1956 56 Buick Century two 2 door hardtop CALIFORNIA BLACK PLATE CAR with FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING in ALL ORIGINAL condition. That's right this car has all original chrome, aint, nterior, lass, tc in preserved condition for a 59 year old car. The car still has its original paint of Tahiti Coral middle (Code N) with Dover White top & bottom (Code C) and all original black Nylon (fabric) and black & ivory cordaveen (Trim 632) interior. The interior is 100 % original including the seats, ick panels, oor panels and carpet. THAT'S RIGHT THIS IS A TRUE UNMOLESTED CALIFORNIA CAR IN 100% ORIGINAL CONDITION. This Buick Century is equipped with Factory Air Conditioning, actory Dual Exhaust, ower steering, ower brakes, eater, -Z Eye Glass, lock and automatic Dynaflow transmission. Look at all the Accessory codes listed on the firewall cowl tag, his is a genuine Factory Air Conditioned car and is not a dealer installed option. The car is a southern California car that has never been restored. I believe this car was purchased new in North Hollywood at Harvey Terrill Buick on Lankershim Boulevard. As far as I can tell I am the second owner of the car. The original owner was in Alta Dena CA and I bought it from her in 2009, have the DMV registrations in her name with the 1956 CA plate numbers as wellso as you can see it seems this car has not left the Los Angeles area all its life. It is a CA Black Plate Car with plate number JWG 454 which is a plate issued out of the Pasadena DMV office in 1963. The plates are currently registered to the car. Also the car has parking stickers for Edwards Air Force Base dating to the early sixties.
This car runs and drives and stops on a dime. The brakes have been gone through last spring, he car has a brand new gas tank and sending unit, he transmission is leaking and can use a reseal, he engine compartment is all original and clean. The air conditioning is hooked up and the compressor turns without any noise. The cargo compartment (trunk) has all original padding, rim and cloth covering. There is a bit of rust and bubbling in the rear pillars (see photos) and the front floors have rust. (I have an original drivers side floor pan from a rust free car which is included. (see photos). The car seems to be in good mechanical condition.I can email a video of the engine running if anyone wants to hear it run.I have not driven it muchin the lastfew years and do not have the time to devout to it anymore.
This car has the patina of an unrestored all original car in preserved condition. It is currently non — operation registered in CA and has a clear title in my name. This car is an excellent candidate to spruce up for preservation class competition or completely restore. It is very rare to have Factory Air Conditioning!!! If you want a special Buick to have fun with and work on as you enjoy it then this is the car.
I have been collecting Buicks for over twenty years and this is the third car I have found in this condition. Another thing which is very rare with this car is that usually original cars are bottom of the line four door sedans which little old ladies bought, ot the desirable two door hardtop factory hot rod cars. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS CAR AS IT WILL BE VERY HARD TO FIND ANOTHER!!!!! I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability with pictures and words. Please review this information. You are welcomed to inspect this vehicle before bidding in Los Angeles. I am selling this car in AS-IS condition with no warranties or guarantees implied or given. Please only bid if serious and ask any questions. One thousand dollars ($1000.00) non refundable deposit due within two (2) days of auction close. Buyer is responsible for all taxes and shipping/transportation. International bidders welcome.
