Description of 1965 Buick Skylark |
Description to the best of my ability:This auction is for a Black on Black 1965 Buick Skylark it is an automatic V8 300 4. 9 liter engine. The car has its original stereo unfortunately it does not work its makes a dubbing noise i was told that the transisitor went bad and needs to be repaired. also the Hood of the car the driver side hinge does not have the spring (The spring is included I just don't know how to strecth it out to position it on the hood. ) the driver side seat some of the seam has come apart where the leatheary type material meets the cloth type material. the car does have a make shift stereo and has a few speakers that are just placed under the seat and the trunk - they are not car speakers and can easily be removed the stereo has not modified the car in any way - no drilling or cutting it simply screwed on under the dash on an existing bolt area. can be removed easily and like nothing was there. it is temporary. the car does not have a passenger side view mirror old cars just didnt have I made a make shift one that was not drilled and can easily be taken off like it was never there. the miles is about 85400 it is automattic v8. the car has ac but it might need to be refilled again the headlights (High and Low beams all light up) I recently noticed some coolant on the engine . I was told that the gasket for the thermostat needs replacement and while at it change the thermostat also. I did an ebay search and the gasket and thermostat are about 8 dollars. the windows are manual roll down the front ones go down all the way and the back ones go half way down - not sure why i guess its because of the age. the seats in the front and back one piece i think they are called bench seats. I also have the front and back buick floor mats. the windshield sprayers work and so do the wipers. the car for some reason has has a glass bottle inside of the engine that you can fill up and use to fill up the water resovior. the car has about 3 quarts full of gas. and the gas nozzle is in the back real cool The car starts right up. I was told it was carbuerated I guess that is with old cars. I was told it looks like a chevy impala similar the one used on the tv show super natural. the trunk is very large aswell and the tail lights work aswell. nbsp; The car has plenty of thread on the tires as i barely use it and it has chevy hubcaps. nbsp;I do not have rims for it. I would like to keep the car but I was kicked out of the garage and locating one is very difficult and expensive. nbsp;I also have some expenses with school and I cannot juggle all at once so I am selling my car. (Some car enthusiasts said that put a good sound system and that car is made for bass and If rims are put on the car it should look real awesome more than it is. ) The care also has a spare tire and jack - although I have no idea how to use this type of jack. the spare is a full spare and I do have a 5th hubcap. nbsp; It has a clean Transferrable Registration and and the paper work / bill of sale are fillled out. the Car recently passed inspection and cost only 10$ to do . nbsp;because of its age you can also put antique insurance on this car if you have a primary vehicle. it costs about 190 per year for insurance. I am not that savvy with cars this is the best explanation i can put. so please ask me questions - Please keep in mind that the car is for pickup only - buyer is 100% responsible in paying for the vehicle ending price in cash - no money orders. or other types of money transfers. The car is to be picked up you can either take it via tow truck or car trailer. also you are welcome to bring a mechanic to see the car If you want to see it before hand contact me and we can setup a meet. Usually thursday during the morning time. Saturday after 12pm or sunday is good to come see the car or take the car. once again ask questions the car is a 1965 model it is almost 50 years old. also one of the emblem on the back passenger side of the car is missing the word lark the rest are all intact the one ond the dash glove compartmant is there also and looks real cool. only thing is I dont have the key for the glove compartment. Included with the car are the original keys and spare - 1 key to open the front doors. 1 key to open the trunk and 1 key to open the gas nozzle opening. nbsp; I have described the car to the best of my ability please contact me if you have any questions. thank for your time and have a great e-day!! Thanks for looking and possibly giving this piece of history a good and caring home. I reserve the right to end the auction early (Bids or Not) as I have people seeing the car in person. All sales finalcar is old so it is sold as isonce the paper work is signed and leaves my location - no returns or refunds (Remember Mechanics are welcome to come take a look bring them along:)1965 Buick Skylark Black on Black v8 300 engine. |
