Up for sale my 1969 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible.I have some of the original paperwork, some old photographs oftheBuick & it is a matching numbers vehicle with factory 4 barrel, front disc brakes, & factory A/C. This car has been well taken care of it's entire life & I believe I am the 3rd owner. It was manufactured in the GM Wilmington DE plant and sold at a dealership in PA & to an owner inOhio. 6 years ago I purchased the Buickfroman estate in Ohio and had it shipped to Massachusetts. This car hasalwaysbeen garaged & ithas never been driven inrain or during the winter months. It runs anddrives like a new car! Since I've owned it, I'veupdated the suspension: complete with 4 new shocks, springs, bushings, control arms. I've also replaced the power steering pump andsteering box & replaced all the belts & a new Interstate battery. The engine & transmission are original -and there are no oil leaks& or transmission leaks however, if the car isn't drivenfor a period of time& it sits for a month...it does leak a bit of transmission fluid. That said, the transmission fluid is perfectly clean & the cargoes into all gears and shifts perfectly. The brakes were checked last year& theywork perfectly and need nothing & I replaced the tires last summer with new radials& had the car aligned.Three years ago Ia body shop (who specializes in car restorations on Cape Cod) strip the paint on the car because there were a few minor rust spots (one on the fender, a small spot on the rocker panel and on both lower quarter panels). All Bondo was removed, new metal was welded in & the car was repainted it's original color Cameo Cream. At the same time they found some minor rust spots in the trunk, so I had them replace the trunk pan with a3 piece, stamped pan - so it lookslike it did when it came from the factory. Now the car is truly rust free! The undercarriage of this car is also just as clean & the car looks like it could have spent it's life in the South - as opposed to Ohio. The convertible top is in great condition... I'd give it 9+ out of 10. It looks perfect, has a glass window and the hydraulics workwell. This isn't a show car, butit's a really clean, honest car that loves the open road! That's all the good... the things that still need to be fixed: the am radio does not work, but if I keep the car I'd replace it with an AM/FM period correct radio, all of the components for the A/C are there, but the A/C does not work & the speedometer cable makes noise and needs to be replaced.
