Description of 1939 Buick Century COUPE |
1939 BUICK CENTURY OPERA COUPE PROJECT CONDITION, BUT SOLID Complete car with clear PA title, project, needing the following repaired: rusty rockers, door bottoms and quarters. The floorpan is rusty near the door openings but solid elsewhere as is the trunk floor pan with some rust in the tool tray. Aside from the stated rust, the car is quite solid and very complete. If you don’t see it mounted on the body, I have it loose, such as headlights, parking lights, bumpers, running boards and rear fenders. Yes, this car needs rust repair and a complete restoration, but that is reflected in the starting price. Keep in mind that it is a Century model, which means, compared to the far more common Special model; it has a longer front end a longer wheelbase and the large 320 cubic inch Roadmaster straight eight engine. How often do you find all original 30’s project coupes that haven’t been messed with, are complete and are a rare model? If you have any specific questions, e-mail me and I will do my best to answer them. A $500 deposit is due via either PayPal or wire transfer within four business days of auction close with the balance due within two weeks of auction close. The car does shop roll but it will need to be trailer-ed or roll backed to take it home. I wouldn’t trust the tires to hold up using a tow dolly. Thank you for looking! |
