Description of 1964 Buick LeSabre |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
Selling my 1964 BUICK LeSabre convertible which I have nurtured with tender loving care -- andhave enjoyed for over 10 years.It is a true rare "survivor" vehicle.... This car runs &drives excellent and looks new in every way! Perfectly straight and balanced – one could drive this car reliably to Florida (or anywhere else) using 1 finger on the steering wheel! This is not a muscle car, but truly a great “driver/cruiser” which gets 20 m.p.g. on the highway and gets smiles from everyone. If you're looking for a reliable, quiet-running, smooth-riding, gorgeous"big old boat" from the 60's....that you will have fun driving and get smiles from everyone....this is the one for you! I am a retired school teacher in central Illinois, nota dealer. Sky-blue (inside and out), blue canvas top w/flexible rearwindow, blue interior (vinyl, no tears). Immaculately clean, inside & out. 100% original, as it was in 1964. One excellent older re-paint. Believed to be the original color. Original flawless interior. No rust evident and none that I know of.... Power top: works well, both up and down, fits snugly, fitted white boot cover Miles when current owner purchased: 78,000 (believed original), now 84,703 Transmission: automatic, rebuilt in 2004 at 76,000 miles along with the converter Engine: original V-8 Wildcat 310, aluminum valves. This was the custom engine on the '64 Buick LeSabre convertible. Only 6,600 were produced. Options &features: Automatic headlight dimmer on dashboard (the most expensiveoption on GM cars in 1960’s), power steering, power brakes, 6-way power seats, Buick Sonomatic A.M. push-button radio (front & rear speakers), tilt steering wheel, padded dash, glove compartment light, remote trunk opener from glove compartment, trip odometer, speedometer maximum speed warning buzzer, rear seat courtesy lights, tinted windshield, driver-side rear view mirror, and more. Vehicle ID #: 04K4017056 Warranty: None Title: Clear Glass: good, no cracks, windows are crank and close tightly, top fits snugly…essentially nonoise at highway speeds. Brakes: new brakes and new brake hoses, 2006, at 78,000 miles Battery: good, 2 years old Upper Dashboard: padded, no cracks History: at least 2 owners, sold new in Bismarck, ND Carpet: New in 2006 (front & rear) w/"Buick" embroidered on them Chrome: "excellent” throughout,with front & rear bumpers replaced NEW in 2003 Heating: Radiator and heater coil replaced new in 2004. Mirrors: optional night-vision rearview mirror, and driver-side mirror Tires: new radial white-wall tires and shocks (Monroe) were all installed new in 2005 and have less than 9,000 miles on them. Oil usage: Car does not burn oil and does not leak any fluids Included: Owner's Guide, convertible operation guide, Car Owner's Protection Plan booklet, and full-sized (used) water-proof car cover Comments from current& previous owner: All previous owners (including current owner)were pet-free, non-smokers "has not spent a night outdoors for at least 21 years" No odors, a "#2+ car".Check out the NADA (and other) classic car guides! Notes from current owner: Willcooperate with buyer on sale and delivery terms. Email initially, through E-bay, with any questions I drove the car from Bismarck, N.D. to Peoria, IL.non-stop (940 miles) totally trouble-free – at highway speeds and got 20 m.p.g. Halfway home, my wife commented, “this car rides smoother and quieter than the new Avis Rent-a-car we rented going to Bismarck”. I have since put onless than6,000 trouble-free miles and the car has never seen rain or snow since then (2006). Oil and basic maintenance has been maintained regularly. U-joints replaced with new ones, 2010. Turn signals’ mechanisms were replaced & cleaned in 2015 Horn was repaired in 2015, works great. All lights work well, including the brights/dims and rear license-plate light. Trunk fits tightly& does not leak at all, but rubber trunk liner needs replaced and a correct brand new “new-in-the-box” liner is included. The original options and prices are listed in the Owner’s manual. Examples: fuel door lid chrome trim, $2.00 Remote trunk release, $7.00 power steering & brakes, $22 each. Side mirror, $4.95. Automatic headlight dimmer, $40.00 All records, paperwork, and maintenance invoices available. Not working: clock (might need only a new fuse?) 6-way power seat has full power now, but is simply “off the track” which eliminates the "forward/backward" factor(needs lifted onto the "track" - power is there so needs simply to be lifted onto the track) ....Therefore iscurrently a “4-way power seat”. This car would be considered to be above "High Retail" condition, but not a "100-point" car. If still interested, please carefullyreview the entire current NADA Classic Car Value Guide notes shown below -- it reveals that the Buy-It-Now price on this vehicle is very reasonable!...
Value Type Definitions My ebay rating is 100% positive, so bid with confidence.Again, please E-mail through E-bay with any questions which I will be happy to answer. Thank you for looking and bidding. |
