A 1948 Buick Series 20 with a Straight 8 Overhead Valve Motor, 3 speed manual Trans. this car was ordered brand new in 1948 for a funeral home to take the family to and from the services held for the funeral. Sadly it had sat in a small shed in a flood zone from 1972 till 2012 when I rescued it before the scrapper got it. It went through 12 floods, but surprisingly the body, Frame, and Chrome all held up very well. Yes the motor is bound up, but the potential is there, you can still get the rebuild kit for it. along with a rebuild for the trans. the rear pumpkin gears should be good just in need of new seals. the over all condition is not bad. it would need interior, and a full frame off restoration, but she would be a beauty of a car. or anyone wanting to rat rod it out, you could save alot of time and money by just swapping out the drive train and clear coating the body. either way, its one hell of a neat car worth saving.
