If you are looking for the nicest, unrestored original 84 Skylark in existence, you have most likely found it. This beautiful, garage kept 24,000 mile car is about as perfect as you can get. The original owner died in 93, and the car has sat in a climate controlled garage ever since. His widow finally decided to get rid of it a couple months ago, and that's when I got it.I did the minimum to get it running and driving after sitting for 23 years. I have put about 50 miles on it, and it runs great, but I would do a complete service before driving daily. The hoses are all original, as well as the tires. I rebuilt the carb, put a new Interstate battery, new headliner and visors, belts, and hood support strut. The coolant is bright green, and the oil is clear. The ac is not cold and the power antenna kept running so I unplugged it. It can be raised and lowered manually. The exterior has the original paint and is almost flawless. The bumper fillers are bad front and back. The vinyl top is flawless and there is no rust whatsoever on the car. The rubber bumper strips and original license plates are perfect. The interior looks and smells like new. The headliner was bad so I had it redone. The seats look like they've never been sat in. There is a small piece of chrome trim to the left of the instrument cluster missing a piece. All woodgrain, knobs, ect in excellent condition.I have described the car honestly and to the best of my knowledge. I am available to show it in the Los Angeles area. I can drop it off at any LA area shipper free of charge. I can smog it for a California buyer. It is on non op and hasn't been registered since 94. Good luck and happy bidding.
On Nov-07-16 at 14:40:31 PST, seller added the following information: I just learned that the car has the HO 2.8 engine. The HO had several mods over the regular engine to give it more hp and torque. Very few Skylark came with that engine.
