1955 BUICK ROADMASTER Sedan Classic Cruiser! Blue & White exterior Blue & White interior Clear VA title Garage stored 322 ci FIREBALL V-8 Nailhead Engine Dynaflow Variable Pitch Automatic Transmission POWER Drum Brakes POWER Steering POWER Front Seat Gauges, Lights, Windows, Heat/Air controls, Hood-Release, Door locks, Trunk lock, parking brake, Power Seat, all in VERY GOOD WORKING condition. Previous owners lived in SD and MD Owner documentation, Original oil-bath air filter, Vintage AM radio, period-correct Hubcaps, Service Manual, and Spare parts included. Original Interior shows wear and need of repair. Horn button relocated to dash. Work completed in 2015-2016: New battery, starter, lights, lenses, and various electrical parts. LED tail lights. New tires [5] Fuel tank replaced; Fuel system flushed. Rebuilt Carter Carburetor Flushed oils in engine and transmission. Purchased and installed various seals, and missing parts. Mileage is ‘ESTIMATED’ as documented on title. Odometer reads 53213. Speedometer and vacuum wipers presently not working. A few dings, paint chips, scratches, and paint issues in the usual places For a sixty year old car; the underside is amazingly SOLID! Close-Up PHOTOS SHOW CONDITION! Obvious evidence of rocker panel repair and exterior re-paint in the past. Much of the chrome is pitted, buffed, or painted. HISTORY: This Buick was assembled at the Kansas City, KS Plant and originally purchased new by Miss Matilda J. Gage [Frank Baum’s niece] at Jacobson Buick in Aberdeen South Dakota. Miss Gage promoted the children’s books about the land of OZ authored by her uncle Frank Baum. The character of Dorothy depicted in Baum’s books was based on Miss Gage and her younger sister, [the real] Dorothy. Miss Gage’s Buick was sold in 1986 after her death.
