Description of 1973 Buick Riviera

1973 Buick Riviera boat tail fastback. Buick made the fastback boat tail 3 years 1971. 72. 73. Dark blue/Purple metal flake clear coat paintBlue veloure interior bench seats - front Split Power seats that both workBlue carpet and front Buick floor matsNew Black head linerSun Visors in the trunk have the material to cover themWindshield has NO breaks/cracksPower windows work - but need a little help going upSteering wheel goodDash is covered - original dash has cracks (see pictures)Reinstalled original AM FM 8 track radio - I have not wired it in to see if it actually works. also have tapesOdometer reads 05814 . don't know the exact mileage . Motor - 455 V8 Buick with 4 BBL carb. The motor is out of a 1971 Riviera with a points & condenser distributor. When I got this car it had an oldsmobile motor that had issues. I pulled the donor motor from a 71 Riviera I already had that had rust & interior problems. Installed new: timing set. timing housing. water pump. oil pan. valve cover gaskets. belts & hoses. New Edelbrock 4 BBL carb with manual choke. (Has exhaust leak on the right exhaust manifold)Underneath is very solid. no rust or damage. Installed new rear shocksHas dual exhaust with glass pack mufflersBody - very solid no rust (except) for some reason the rear wheel well on the drivers side was rusted thru and not fixed before the car was painted. (This was done by previous owner) See pictures. Other than that is is a VERY solid car with minor dents & chips in the paint. Original front vinyl top of roof was removed before paintingChrome strip is missing on the right rear window. I have an extra window in the trunk from the other 71. It has the brackets and compressor for the AC in the trunk from the 71 model one hose end needs changed to work with the 73 Front bumper has chrome peel in the middle sectionRear bumper has dent on right outsideThis car runs & drives. have had the car for approx. 2 years. occasionally drive it to local events. It has a clear Texas title and current inspection. This is a GREAT! car for someone that doesn't want a major project but just likes to tinker a bit.
