Description of 1966 Buick Riviera GS

Absolutely Stunning 1966 Buick Riviera GS with the 465 Wild Cat Engine and a Posi-Traction Rear end. Car underwent professional restoration in 2010 and is painted in enamel to the original and very rare Regal Black color code specification. The paint job is like a mirror and equivalent in luster to the best lacquer paint jobs available- show quality. There is no rust on this vehicle whatsoever and is laser straight with one exception- a very small 1/4-inch shallow ding just behind the lower right rear fender well that my daughter did by bumping her bicycle into it, which is not clearly noticeable. This car has less than 54,000 miles on the original engine and drivetrain. The black vinyl interior is absolutely original to the car and is in near perfectly new condition without any rips, scuffs or wear blemishes. The carpet was replaced. The engine has finned aluminum "BUICK" valve covers and a beautiful chrome air cleaner, which is standard with the "GS" package. The car has new brakes with original oversized finned aluminum front brake drums and five (5) new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires (including the spare, which is also mounted to the chrome sport wheel). The original AM radio is not working, but I've purchased a replacement 1966 Buick Riviera AM radio, which I have yet to install. I also installed a new OEM '66 Riviera power antenna, as the original unit didn't function when I bought it. The cast pot metal horn bar has broken off fromthe optional wood-like sport steering wheel as they were all prone to do, but this part is available from OPGI in Seal Beach California. The AC was working back in 2011 when I was driving the car more frequently, but has since no longer throwing cold air. I believe it needs to be recharged with sealing oil and R-12 FREON,a refrigerant whichis no longer legal in my state of California. I didn't want to alter the original AC system toconvert to the new refrigerants, so I just left it alone. We are moving to a new house and will no longer havea garageto store this beautiful car. This highly prized collectible car is way too nice to be stored outside. Please call me at 714-767-7046 with questions.
