1937 Buick Special Series 40 Sedan Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors. Located in PORTLAND, OREGON. This 1937 Buick Special - Series 40 Trunk Back Touring Sedan was fully restored to show quality and received a National First Place Award from the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) in 1996. Since restoration it has traveled approximately 10,000 miles and shows well today with only minor indications of use. Please see photos. The body is painted in a color similar to 1937 Buick "Ottawa Blue Metallic" and the finish is lovely. The body is straight with excellent panel fit. The chrome and trim is bright and shows nicely. Running board mats appear nice and original. The interior was fully restored. Excellent dashboard and woodgraining. Upholstery is very correct and shows nicely with the exception of one small hole noted on the passenger-side seat back. (It is very minor, but I do want to mention it. Please see photo.) The carpet, floor mat and headliner are excellent. Optioned with working Buick radio and Heater/Defroster. Seat belts added. A nice package. The 248 cubic inch overhead valve straight eight engine was rebuilt and runs smooth and quiet. Please see video of engine running. 3 speed manual transmission shifts well. The electrical system was converted to 12 volt with an alternator for brighter headlights at all speeds and better charging. Optima battery. Car has Buick-branded fog lights and also a concealed back-up light under the rear bumper. Rear folding bumper guard. Turn signals added and wired through the tail lights. Auxiliary electric fuel pump. New Coker wide whitewall radial tires were recently fitted, including the spare tire in the trunk. Undercarriage is clean and rust-free. Overall, this is a very nice award-winning Buick that is ready for year-round touring, club events and local shows. A realistic reserve has been placed on the car in keeping with its condition and quality. Please bid accordingly. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS, WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK.
