This 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 convertible has factory matching numbers and has undergone a comprehensive, professional, off-frame, rotisserie restoration to the highest degree. Sherwood Green paint with a tan top and saddle brown interior make this Buick GS one sharp looking automobile. One of 232 Stage 1 convertibles built by Buick in 1970. With factory power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, radio, rear spoiler, tack, matching numbers 455cid engine and Turbo hydro-matic 400 transmission this is a highly optioned and comfortable car to drive. 1,184 of these GS 455 convertibles were produced in 1970. This car was built in Flint, MI The Stage 1 package consisted of the high performance 455 with more aggressive camshaft, higher compression, unique cylinder heads, unique 4 barrel carburetor, aggressive ignition timing, 5/8" oil pickup tube, low restriction dual exhaust, and a higher numerical final drive. All of these components added up to one bad machine, rated at 360hp and 510 stump pulling ft/lbs of torque. This rare and magnificently restored convertible is an outstanding example of one of Buick's greatest muscle cars.
