Description of 1972 Buick Skylark 350 Sun Coupe GS Ram Air

The Skylark Sun Coupe is rare, indeed. This one stands out wearing modern, yet classic looking paint in Sunset Bronze Mica metallic. It pops with the black sport top, interior, and stripes painted into the genuine GS ram air hood. The badge delete, rechromed bumpers, and classic 18" Boyd Coddington Smoothies running low profile tires with a lot of meat on the back round out that pro-touring vibe, a good look on the GS. This Buick looks and sounds bad-a$$!
Finding them in this condition is like hunting unicorns- and this one's up for sale. The pictures and video speak for themselves. I own another Sun Coupe, a '72 Custom, and a '65 Rivi, which aren't for sale; so obviously, I love these Buicks! I hope the next owner appreciates it as much as I have. Below I describe everything I believe a potential buyer would want to know.

Condition details and work done:
Signals, brights, and all little interior lights from sail panels to under dash work fine. The cigarette lighter gets power and charges my phone. A cassette player was cleverly tucked behind the original radio and several upgraded Sony & Pioneer speakers are in the car. Sunpro gauges are mounted under the dash and an Autometer tach is placed where the dummy gauge would reside in the factory cluster. Seals are replaced and all body panels and gaps are uniform and even as evidenced in the photos. All windows go up and down perfectly. The trunk is super clean. Underneath, the pans and frame look very clean and dry. Upgraded Xenon headlamps look great and help you see everything you'd miss with stock T3s.
The vinyl top, headliner, sunroof, seat covers, door panels, carpets, marker lights, ignition switch, wire harness, wiper motor, radiator, fuel and oil pump, brakes, master, booster, complete suspension bushings, transmission, starter, alternator, distributor all have records showing repair or replacement. About $5k invested in engine and valvetrain rebuild using TA Performance parts including TA-212-350 cam, lifters, guides, rocker kit, bearings, pistons, stage 1 valve springs & intake, headers, dual exhaust, Edelbrock Performer RPM 750 CFM carb, Summit Hot Start remote ignition relay kit, and HEI ignition. I've just installed new AC Delco plugs, changed the oil, and set timing at Buick's preferred 12* BTDC- it runs strong on premium pump gas. Have a listen to the video- it's pure auditory bliss!
Please keep in mind this is an antique hot rod automobile. It's 45 years old and has a personality and character unique to it. For everything that has been redone, not everything on the car is brand new or perfect. If it were, it would be a $25k+ car. Everything is described in word and pictures as fully and accurately as possible, based on records and my experience. Next describes my little nitpicking issues with it.
Dash pad has small crack in driver side lower corner. I'm still seeking the proper grill for rear defroster. Rear bumper is rechromed but has a thin line of oxidation upon close examination just above the driver side rear taillight. My other Sun Coupe's top can be opened and closed with two fingers, even with the car moving. Since this one has been previously restored, it slides open and closed well enough, but is a little pickier on opening, often requiring ~5 seconds outside the car to help position the folds on the passenger side. Once done it looks perfect, as seen in the pictures. Where it's a little too tight around a couple bows, there are 1-2 cm breaks in the vinyl. The original latch handles were soft pot metal, prone to break, and now unavailable. In it's place is a small vice grip to operate the latch- that's what I call character :)

Transaction details:
I hold a clean Florida title. The car is currently garaged in Toronto, ON as my wife and daughter are Canadian and that's where I live now. Buyer is entitled (even encouraged) to inspect, or hire an independent inspector, **BEFORE** purchase. Hitting "BIN" means you've satisfied every curiosity and you're ready to complete the transaction. I hope that's clear to those who think the BIN button begins the negotiations- not how it works. Distant buyers with a valid passport are welcome to drive into Ontario or fly to Toronto YYZ Pearson airport. I can pick you up as the car is only 5 min. away. To help any U.S. buyers who do not wish to visit Canada, I will gladly transport the car to Buffalo, NY for an easy pickup- I like the wings so it's worth going. Anything beyond that is the buyer's responsibility. If you're wanting to drive the car away, even across country, I would say that's a fun idea and certainly within its capabilities. However, car and title will not leave my possession until payment is made in full- cash or equivalent funds deposited or cleared, at my banking institution- BoA. $500 deposit due by PayPal within 24 hrs. Please ask any questions you may have as it's possible I've forgotten or am unaware of something.
