Description of 1962 Buick Electra 225 |
This is a numbers matching 1962 Buick Electra 225. It has air ride suspension with GC valves (F/B). Viair compressor. and Firestone air bags. The interior is 90% complete but needs a headliner. The windshield wipers are inoperable (needs a new switch and rewired) automatic windows that work. Power brakes and steering. Factory equipped with A/C but is currently not hooked up. I have a new A/C compressor that needs installed. Edelbrock 650 carb. but I have the original Rochester that needs rebuilt. Tires are fair with some life left on them. The driver's side fender has some damage around the headlight bezel. See pictures. The paint is not original and is peeling. Chrome is and emblems are complete with the exception of the trim piece on the rear wheelwell opening. The transmission shifts and works when the car is warm. It seems like the fluid has to warm up before it will shift. It could possibly be caused by a clogged filter. The motor is the original 401 nailhead. The car is located in central Pennsylvania but has a Texas title. |
