Description of 1947 Buick Series 50

Bernice is an awesome old gal and I'm only parting with her because responsibilities must come first. She is all original with the exception of an electric fuel pump and air breather. I haven't been able to locate an oil bath air breather in working condition. She was originally dark green, but the sun has faded her to a beautiful turquoise. I love the color so much I was planning to have her clear coated instead of repainted. She does not have any major body issues. She does have a few scratches here and there and some other minor flaws, but she is 71 after all. I'm the second owner, the first owner was from a local town and passed away several years ago. Based on condition and oil change records it is safe to say it only has 66,789 miles on her. Starts and idles with no misses but has a gremlin with acceleration. She will choke out if you goose her, but if you're careful with her she's fine. Slow and steady wins the race, I say. I think it's a carburetor issue since it was rebuilt, but we haven't figured it out yet. Everyone has an opinion but no answers. She needs some TLC to bring her back to her prime but she's not ready for the nursing home yet. Brakes have a slow leak. The radiator seeps a bit but I don't have to add to it often. The arm rest on the back passenger side needs to be repaired, (see pic); not a big deal if you plan to re-upholster. Needs new high heels and eyelashes. There are two keys and I have a shop manual as well. I will be happy to send any additional pictures or videos to your e-mail.
