Description of 1968 Buick Gran Sport GS400

We are a small body/mechanical shop in the heart of Indiana. We have been working on, rebuilding, restoring classic American muscle cars for 35 years. We do this as a hobby because we love cars. Today we are listing a few that we have completed and are ready for their new homes.
Up for auction today we have a gorgeous 1968 Buick Gran Sport GS400 in Quasar Blue. This car is completely restored and needs nothing. A black vinyl top and a fantastic black bucket seat interior set of the color combination.
The body has 101K miles on it. Driven about 2K miles a year, this 50 year old classic looks and runs like a new car.
Being a Gran Sport it has the bucket seat interior, the console and the horse shoe shifter. No expense was spared making this into a super clean muscle car. The car boasts power steering, power brakes, and even has power windows! YES, power windows!
The engine is a completely rebuilt 455 with a slightly oversized TA Performance camshaft. The transmission is a completely rebuilt TH400 automatic, and the rearend is a 10 bolt positraction with the factory 3.23 gear ratio and was also completely gone through. All seals, bearings, rings, gaskets are NEW. The driveshaft sports new u-joints as well. The car is super fast but yet is still very streetable.
The interior is super clean, the proper items are all there. Correct floor mats, all the interior lights work as they should. The stereo has been upgraded to something a little more modern. The new JVC stereo sports a CD player and blue tooth capabilities so you can crank up whatever tunes you want. Seat belts are all correct and function as they should.
The body is super straight with all factory GM panels. The factory stripe (68 only) in black was put back along both sides at the bottom just as GM had it back in 1968. Door sill plates, seals, rubber bumpers on doors, all new. Wheel and tire package is correct with the correct wheel centers and a cool set of redline tires that are still in like new shape. The 2 1/2 exhaust is new and dumps in the correct position behind the rear wheels.
This car will NOT disappoint. Please see my feedback rating, it is 100% and I plan for it to stay there. Please call John 765-252-9914 to schedule an appointment to view this car
