Up for sale is a 1955 Buick Special Riviera Hardtop. This car is a driver and always gets tons of nods. waves. and honks wherever it goes. Original 264 Nailhead engine and drivetrain automatic Dynaflow transmission. These were the first four door pillar less hard tops produced. Clean rust free original California car built in the South Gate plant. Purchased off the widow of original owner. New Coker whitewalls. new glass. new window rubber. new window felts. window trim all rechromed. all new interior with Dynamat (inside all doors. floorboards. roof. and package tray) so it is super quiet. You can actually have a normal conversation at freeway speeds. Mp3/auxillary stereo hidden with 4 speakers and subwoofer. Recently put one set of seat belts in the rear middle section for my daughter's car seat. I have left the engine and transmission alone because it runs fine with no problems and does not overheat. Drives at highway speeds. Driven in numerous weddings. proms and car shows in southern California; you may have seen this around town. I normally drive up to 60 miles one way to shows up to 3 times a month. This year over 200 miles one way to attend a car show with no problems. No rust in fenders. rockers. frame. trunk or floorboards. Floorboards cleaned and treated with Eastwood's rust preventer/inhibitor prior to installation of interior. Paint is ok (owner son repainted in their garage) with 1 repaint from original and has some small chips from road driving. Body is extremely straight with a couple pinky nail sized ding on hood and quarter panel that are hardly noticeable. Chrome is good with a few light pitting spots in some areas however nothing flaking off. Stainless in great condition. All lights work. Brakes work excellent. This is a solid unrestored cruiser. Hate to see it go but have other projects to fund. This is a 60 year old vehicle and is not perfect as this is not a restored car but what I did do I did right with no shortcuts. There are small issues evident. 1 piece of stainless needs a clip to get reattached to windshield. turn signal cam works but should be replaced. speedometer needs to get hooked back up (I've just been using my gps).
