Description of 1951 Buick Roadmaster Riviera 76R

You are looking at a very hard to find uncut 1951 Buick Roadmaster Riviera 76R. Original straight 8 320cu in. engine with dynaflow transmission. Engine is not locked up but will need rebuild. Cranks but not enough compression to kick into start. Not sure of the transmission condition but assuming it also needs a rebuild as this car was last registered in 1986. This car needs a total redo but it's almost totally complete with a few minor pieces missing. Original interior is there and dash has all the original instrumentation. Frame is solid as can be with no rust thru anywhere. Braces are also good. Will needsfloor and rocker panel work. Body is very solid with only one problem area being the lower forward driver side quarter with about a 6 inch by 20 inch area. I used a meter called "filler detective" to check this body out and the readings were showing minimal amount of filler on this body. Doors are solid as are jambs. Trunk is amazingly solid with only a small hole showing in the tire well. Chrome is all there but will need polishing and some straightening/resto work on them. Windshield is intact as well as back window. There is a crack on the driver rear window and the passenger front window. Harness has been chewed up bymice so a new harness will be in order.Hoodhas one of the connectorsbroken so that will have to be addressed. Bumpers will need work also. Again this is a complete resto job. Original Green color with a gray top. Color code 71. Power window option rare for that year. Buick built 12K of these that year which was about 3% of the total Buicks built that year, which makes this a pretty rare car. Top of the line in it's day and has great value today when it's done. A Concours 76R examples are getting close to the $60K range. Asking $4600 for vehicle. Will deliver within a 500 mile radious of zip 29645 for an additional fee. Keys are here as well as a transferable openSouth Carolina title. Please call for any questions you may have or more photos, or email me at the address listed. Car has always been a southern car and has been sitting since 1986. I will require a $500non-refundable paymentwithin 24 hours of the close of auction and full payment within 7 days of the close of auction. I will assist in shipping car and have a local shipper for a quote. I reserve the right to end this listing early as I have car listed locally and on other sites. Great solid platform for a build and very little to look for inrespect to parts. Car easily rolls onto trailer. Please email me with any other questions/requests, or contact me at 864-201-9833. Car is located in Gray Court SC, 25 minutes east of GreenvilleSC. Car sold as-is no warranties express or implied.
